Eriquezzo, Genovese, and Daly Among Latest WSOP Bracelet Winners

With 65 gold bracelet events in the books, more than $179.3 million in prize money has been awarded so far at the 2023 World Series of Poker. Below, we take a look at three events that wrapped up recently at the 54th annual WSOP.

2023 WSOP Online $400 No-Limit Ultra Deepstack

Ryan ‘GoFeltaFish2’ Eriquezzo took down the latest WSOP Online event for players located in Nevada and New Jersey, topping a field of 1,810 total entries in the $400 no-limit hold’em ‘Ultra Deepstack’ tournament to earn $145,375.

This was the New Haven, Connecticut native’s third career bracelet victory. His first came back in 2012 when he took down the WSOP National Championship event fro $416,051. Seven years later, he came out on top in the 2019 WSOP Global Casino Championship to secure his second bracelet in an event that marked the culmination of the WSOP Circuit season.

Eriquezzo now has more than $2.6 million in recorded tournament earnings, with nearly $1 million of that coming from his 27 in-the-money finishes in bracelet events.

Plenty of big names ran deep in this event, including bracelet winner Michael ‘BrockLesnar’ Holtz (146th) two-time bracelet winner Ari ‘PalmTreeB’ Engel (106th), Maria Ho (62nd), Andrew ‘GudLife’ Moreno (32nd), two-time bracelet winner Lawrence ‘Lawbra12’ Brandt (15th), and Kevin ‘SpecialK333’ Calenzo (4th).

2023 WSOP $500 Salute to Warriors No-Limit Hold’em

This year’s $500 buy-in ‘Salute To Warriors’ no-limit hold’em event saw 4,305 entries made by the time registration concluded. With $40 from each entry going to the United Service Organizations and other veteran-focused charities, that meant that more than $172,000 was donated.

There was also $1,936,350 in prize money up for grabs for those that participated, including a top prize of $217,921. That sum was ultimately captured by Steven Genovese, a retired fireman from California. Genovese also took home his first WSOP gold bracelet as the champion.

Several accomplished tournament players survived to the final few tables in this tournament, including 2016 WSOP main event sixth-place finisher Kenny Hallaert (35th), bracelet winner Levi Berger (16th), and bracelet winner Dejuante Alexander (9th).

World Poker Tour employee William Butcher finished third, earning $99,961, while Kelly Gall took home $134,643 as the runner-up finisher.

2023 WSOP $3,000 Limit Hold’em Six-Max

The latest shorthanded event at the series featured a $3,000 buy-in, with 263 players posting that amount to battle it out over a game of limit hold’em. The top 40 finishers made the money, with $702,210 in total prize money up for grabs. The largest share of that money was eventually secured by Jason Daly, who ran away with the title down the stretch. The Texas resident earned $165,250 and his first gold bracelet for the win.

This was the second-largest tournament score yet for Daly. His biggest payday came earlier this year, when he finished as the runner-up in the Lodge Championship Series $3,000 no-limit hold’em main event for $290,864.

Three-time bracelet winner Joe McKeehen (17th), two-time bracelet winner Daniel Idema(16th), Dan Shak (14th), two-time bracelet winner Tom Koral (9th), three-time bracelet winner David Bach (8th), and recent $2,5000 mixed triple draw champion Nick Pupillo were among the many notable players that cashed in this event.
