While many in the poker world continue to explore their feelings on Twitter, Matt Berkey settled his beef with Nikhil ‘Airball’ Arcot on the felt, scoring a seven-figure win in their heads-up grudge match.
The two high-stakes poker players started their match in early April, sitting down for $200-$400-$400 heads-up hold’em at the Resorts World poker room in Las Vegas. The match would continue for a scheduled 100 hours, unless one player found themselves down seven figures and chose to quit.
On Saturday, just nine sessions and 58 hours into their game overall, Arcot found himself down $1,029,700 and proceeded to wave the white flag.
According to posts on social media, Berkey won $350,000 on the last day, and the final hand was a set over set situation.
Berkey would have kept playing, however Arcot had enough and congratulated his oppponent with a handshake.
“He played well,” Arcot admitted afterward.

The match originally stemmed from some bad blood between the two players, with Arcot trash talking Berkey’s poker training business and questioning his skills. Tensions spilled over at a Bellagio cash game where the two bumped chests, and it continued onto the PokerGO set during Arcot’s drunken session on High Stakes Poker.
Arcot has no shortage of pros who would like to play him, including former Hustler Casino Live star Garrett Adelstein, who would like to come back from his poker hiatus for a $500-$1,000 match.

Meanwhile, Arcot plans to quickly get back on the horse with a $1 million buy-in cash game scheduled for April 12.
